Where does the tour start?
The tour begins at the Navajo Welcome Center on Highway 163, the official entrance to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park.
Do I need internet service in the park?
No. Once downloaded, the tour works completely offline, which is important because cell service is limited in Monument Valley.
How much does it cost to enter Monument Valley?
The Navajo Nation charges an entrance fee of about $8 per person (prices may change). National Park passes do not apply because this is Navajo land.
Is the road easy to drive?
The scenic loop is a 17-mile dirt road with bumps and washboard sections. Most cars can drive it carefully at about 15 mph.
Is it free to enter?
No. There is a per person fee you pay at the gate to enter. This is not a National Park and the America the Beautiful pass will not work here.
